It has taken me some time to really say how thankful I am for Dr. Lea and his team at Crossroads Brain and Spine. I am truly grateful for the care that I’ve received here. Back in July of 2024, I was in so much pain and I was in tears explaining my sciatic nerve pain shooting down my right leg. Sitting for any period of time was so painful. And the mornings were the worst. I would get out of bed and the first step I would take, would have me on the floor in pain. I had been to physical therapy for a few months before, but it didn’t seem to be getting better. Several friends recommended Dr. Lea and I was hesitant because I wasn’t a huge fan of chiropractors and had never been to one before. But, I was in so much pain, I was desperate.
Dr. Lea explained everything that was going on. I wanted to know how things worked and why this was happening since this wasn’t from an injury. I learned more about the spine and how it works that day. I had no idea how much I didn’t know. He was honest with me. He made no promises that this would be a quick fix, but he said he was confident that with time if I stuck to the treatment plan, I would feel better. I will say, it did take time. After about a month or so, I wondered if it was working. Dr. Lea continued to encourage me to trust the process and that there were signs of progress. I stuck with the treatment. I did gradually start to feel better and my pain had decreased. I was able to receive treatment less frequently and resume activities that I was used to doing before. My appointments are even less frequent now as I am in maintenance. I told Dr. Lea the last time I was in, “you were right!” What he explained to me at the beginning and throughout treatment was true.
I also want to say that Dr. Lea and the staff are always kind, friendly and gentle with their patients. From what I’ve seen and experienced personally, they meet their patients where they are and walk them through the process of healing.
