- Spinal stenosis is when the neural canal, also called the spinal canal, is narrowed. When this occurs, there is pressure that is placed on the millions of nerves running through the spine. There are many factors that can be attributed to spinal stenosis such as: excessive bone growth, thickening of the soft tissues within the canal like ligaments / cartilage, or even a herniated disc.
- This narrowing can distort the nerves within the spine causing pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the lower extremity (buttocks, legs, feet). This commonly occurs in the lumbar spine. Prior to any treatment of the spine (Upper Cervical Spinal Correction or Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression) a thorough diagnostic examination will be performed to create a customized and comprehensive plan of care.
Testimonials
I showed up to Crossroads Brain and Spine with upper neck pain and headaches that I have had for three years. After meeting Dr. Michael Lea and his amazing staff, he had me take a few x-rays and did his analysis of them. He found some issues with my neck. He came up with a treatment plan that I feel has helped all my issues. I have noticed a great improvement in my neck to the point of 0 or little pain and my headaches have subsided after three years of having them. I greatly appreciate the service, staff and painless treatment methods. Thank you Crossroads Brain and Spine!
