Many patients use the colloquial term of sciatica. Thus far in my career, I’ve come to accept this word as part of our daily vocabulary. Previously, I would vehemently educate people on how that is a non-specific term and doesn’t describe what is really going on. So here, we’re going to set the record straight.
Sciatica is TREATABLE!
I have tremendous success helping patients with this condition that does not include addictive opioids, risky epidural injections, or invasive spine surgeries.
Sciatica is a common and often debilitating condition that affects millions of people every year. This condition is characterized by radiating pain in the leg, typically along the back side of the leg. Many patients describe it as going from their butt to their ankle.
It’s difficult to pinpoint why this happened as many patients report no recent trauma (car accident, sports injury, slip, or fall). What is clear is that it can significantly disrupt normal, everyday life. Up until recently, treatment for sciatica was non-specific and not effective. This often included ongoing physical therapy, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxers. Many patients would then be prescribed addictive opioids, which of course, did not treat the underlying root problem. This would lead them down the path of risky epidural injections and eventually invasive spine surgery.
The DRX9000, a FDA-cleared non-surgical spinal decompression table, has shown remarkable success rates in treating chronic back pain and sciatica.
A multi-center pilot study utilizing the DRX9000 revealed an impressive success rate of 88.9%[1]. This study, presented at the annual New York State Society of Anesthesiologists PGA meeting, showed that patients experienced a 50% reduction in pain scores after just two weeks of treatment[1].
Here’s the good news…Crossroads Brain & Spine is located in Indianapolis, Indiana! I’ve worked tirelessly to create a premier non-surgical spine care center utilizing the FDA-cleared DRX-9000. As you can see on our website and Google profile, patients are pleased with the results they are getting.
One patient, Andy P., shared, “Dr. Lea explains the issues very clearly. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I received great treatment here and would highly recommend Crossroads Brain & Spine”.
The success of the DRX9000 in treating sciatica and chronic back pain has led to its adoption by many clinics across the country. Excite Medical, the exclusive worldwide distributor of the DRX9000, continues to support research and development in this field, organizing events like the Bi-Annual Decompression Mastermind where top experts gather to explore innovations in DRX9000 technology and spinal decompression[8].
For those suffering from sciatica, the high success rate of the DRX-9000 offers hope for relief without resorting to invasive surgeries or relying on addictive pain medications. As more research is conducted and more patients experience the benefits of non-surgical spinal decompression, it’s likely that this treatment option will become increasingly prevalent in the management of sciatica and chronic back pain.
If you or someone you know is suffering from sciatica, you are not doomed. If you want a non-surgical, non-invasive approach to treat sciatica, call my office at 317-854-6116.
Sciatica is treatable. Your life is not over.
